1 Girl 6 Strings Logo
Band logo I created for Phnom Penh based jazz band “1 Girl 6 Strings”. The band plays 1940s style jazz, and wanted the logo to portray their pin-up style.
I started the design process by sketching out different ideas, and decided the best idea was to incorporate the guitar and the singer as one object.
After presenting the first iteration of the logo, we decided it looked too Rockabilly rather than 1940s style jazz. Through the revisions, I created a more 1940s hairstyle using the shape-builder tool in Adobe Illustrator, replaced the microphone with a cigarette and replaced the stars with musical notes. The client was very pleased with the end product, and used it on all their marketing materials.
