As part of the Design Edge project, I wrote an article on how graphic design has sparked change in the world, specifically for the early abolitionist movement in the late 18th century. The article is about the first infographic, and how it was created to show the inhumane conditions of slave ships to elicit an emotional reaction from people to abolish slavery.
I created this image for the blog cover, using the collage approach to showcase the important elements of the article; Thomas Clarkson, the infographic itself and the subsequent freedom of slaves.
This image was created using Adobe Photoshop.
